Name: Sergio Aguero
Position: Striker

In a month where Manchester City’s title hopes took an almighty blow; the Citizens will have their fingers crossed that star striker Sergio Aguero can fire them towards at least a Premier League top four finish, with newly appointed manager Pep Guardiola set to arrive at the Etihad Stadium this summer.

The 27-year-old has scored a remarkable 22 goals in just 34 appearances in all competitions for Manuel Pellegrini’s side so far this season, although City still find themselves a whopping 15 points behind surprise league leaders Leicester City in the standings.

Woeful defeats to the hands of Liverpool (3-0) and arch rivals Manchester United (1-0) have derailed the Citizens’ hopes of lifting the title for the third time in four years, but at least Aguero’s goalscoring exploits have almost single-handedly kept his teammates in the hunt for European football next term.

The Argentine ace scored a brace in the 4-0 rout over rock-bottom Aston Villa on March 5 – the only Premier League fixture City found the back of the net in.
