Manchester United will be looking to secure all three points when they face Sheffield United on Saturday.

Before the international break, Red Devils hero Scott McTominay bagged two crucial injury-time goals to seal a 2-1 win against Brentford at Old Trafford.

Erik Ten Hag’s side have made a sluggish start to the Premier League campaign, as they currently sit in 10th place with 12 points from eight games.

The Manchester outfit have also been abysmal so far in the Champions League as they sit bottom of their group after losing their opening two games against Bayern Munich and Galatasaray.

It can be argued that an injury crisis has plagued the team as 16 players have either been injured or unavailable at some point since the start of the term.

Following their poor start, the club are busy scouting and listing potential targets for January.

Inter Milan are reportedly extremely reluctant to sell Dimarco

It now seems the Red Devils have set their sights on a Serie A defender.

According to TeamTalk, Manchester United admire Inter Milan left-back Federico Dimarco.

The report claims that the Manchester outfit have watched the defender on multiple occasions and are eager to do a deal with Inter in January.

Dimarco, 25, has worked through the youth ranks at I Nerazzurri and now features regularly for the Italian giants.

The left-back has made an explosive start to the Serie A campaign after notching three assists and netting one goal in seven games.

He has made 107 senior appearances for the Champions League finalists and has secured 14 caps for the Italian national team.

The report claims that a fee worth around £50m may be required to sign the defender as Inter are reluctant to let him leave the club.
