Manchester United have agreed terms with academy graduate Jesse Lingard over a new deal which will keep him at the club until 2021, according to reports from The Sun.
The 24-year-old, who scored the winning goal in last season’s FA Cup final win over Crystal Palace, has agreed a new £95k-a-week deal with the powers that be at Old Trafford.
The England international, now assured of his place in Jose Mourinho’s squad, has received a significant pay rise from his previous £30k-a-week deal.
The former Derby County loanee has bagged three goals in 18 appearances for the Red Devils this season, including another goal at Wembley in the Community Shield against Leicester.
The news of the deal comes a day after the club confirmed that former Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini had signed a year’s extension on his deal, whilst French midfielder Morgan Scheneiderlin departed for the Belgian’s former club on a permanent deal, linking up with his old Southampton manager, Ronald Koeman.
