Manchester United will be hoping to move a step closer to Champions League qualification when they face Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils currently sit fourth in the Premier League table and need a maximum of four points from their final three games to ensure they qualify for Europe’s top club competition next term.

On Thursday evening, Newcastle United moved to within a point of securing their own top four spot by beating Brighton and Hove Albion 4-1, but fifth-placed Liverpool sit just a single point behind Manchester United at present.

This summer looks set to be one of significant change at Old Trafford with several incomings and outgoings likely, and it appears that the Red Devils have identified a striker as a potential target for the upcoming transfer window.

As per The Evening Standard, United are one of a number of Premier League clubs interested in Gent striker Gift Orban.

The 20-year-old has been enjoying a sensational season for the Belgian side, scoring 19 goals in 19 matches across all competitions so far this term.

Orban, a senior Nigeria international, has scored a goal every 75 minutes on average, but his form hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Orban played twice against West Ham during their Europa Conference League tie last month

According to the report, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham are also all said to have shown an interest in the forward.

Orban joined Gent from Norwegian side Stabaek in January, having scored 19 goals in 24 senior appearances for his former side.

Despite interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe, it is claimed that Gent have no plans to sell the striker this summer and would therefore only do so if a huge offer was made.

The player himself, who is contracted to his current employers until 2027, is said to be happy in Belgium and is content with continuing his development at the club.

Chelsea are set to be in the market for a new striker this summer as they look to address their dismal form in front of goal.

So far this season only three sides – including already-relegated Southampton – have scored fewer Premier League goals then the Blues.

United, meanwhile, will be on the hunt for a new forward with loanee Wout Weghorst set to return to parent club Burnley at the end of the season.
