Manchester United are reportedly “on alert” in regards to their interest in signing Belgium international Yannick Carrasco, according to Don Balon.

The Premier League side, who currently sit sixth in the English top-flight standings after drawing 1-1 at Stoke City last time out, have been linked with a move for the Atletico Madrid forward.

The 23-year-old, who has 15 international caps for his country and featured for Belgium at Euro 2016 last summer, has impressively scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 29 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga outfit.

Carrasco, who is also said to be attracting interest from Premier League rivals Chelsea, joined Atletico from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco back in July 2015.

The report suggests the Belgian star has become unsettled at the Vicente Calderon Stadium after becoming frustrated with manager Diego Simeone, highlighted by the winger’s angry reaction when substituted off against Alaves on Saturday.

Carrasco is understood to have a whopping £86m release clause after penning a new deal back in October.
