Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is ready to reject reported interest from Manchester United and Chelsea to join Real Madrid once their transfer embargo ends, according to the Independent.

The Poland international is said to be ready to look for a new challenge after winning every major title in Germany during his time with Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, and wants to test himself in a new league.

The 27-year-old is understood to have been a long-term target for United, but he could opt for a switch to Madrid instead, with the embargo due to start from the end of this window, and finishing at the climax of the 2016/17 season.

Lewandowski has scored 25 goals in 27 appearances in all competitions this term.
