Italy international, plus Manchester United and Liverpool target, Mattia Perin is reportedly ready to switch clubs, according to the Daily Express and Italian radio station Kiss Kiss.

The Premier League duo; who currently sit sixth and eighth in the standings respectively, although the Reds prevailed as victors after their last-16 legs in the Europa League as of Thursday night, have been long-term admirers of the Genoa goalkeeper.

The 23-year-old, who has one international cap for Italy and was his country’s third-choice shot stopper at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, has kept six clean sheets in 22 league appearances for the Serie A outfit so far this season.

Perin, who broke into Genoa’s first-team at the age of just 20, will reportedly be encouraged to move to another football club in a bid to secure a higher level of football once a potential suitor makes a firm offer.

The player’s agent Matteo Roggi told Kiss Kiss, “He’s ready for a leap of quality into a top club, but he could also take an intermediate leap and play in the Europa League.

“We’re ready for the change, but we’re peaceful about it.

“We won’t leave just for the sake of leaving, as he’s already playing in a great team.”
