A number of long running transfer sagas look set to go the distance this summer, with the likes of Erling Braut Haaland, Harry Kane and Jack Grealish all linked with mega money moves every single day.

Manchester City are one of the clubs most heavily linked with an array of Europe’s most coveted talents.

Pep Guardiola’s side have reportedly edged closer to securing the services of England captain and Premier League golden boot winner Harry Kane, and remain the favourites to sign Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish.

However, it is one of City’s former players who has just completed the biggest move of the window so far, and the former Citizen has joined the club’s fiercest rivals.

Manchester United have officially announced the signing of Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.

The England winger had been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in each of the past three windows, but a move never materialised as United were unwilling to pay more than they wanted to and Dortmund were refusing to budge.

Now, the Red Devils have got their man, for a fee of around £73 million.

Sancho will hook up with England teammate Marcus Rashford in United’s frontline, and will also play alongside Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire.

Sancho will wear the number 25 shirt for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

Speaking shortly after signing a five-year deal, Sancho spoke of his joy at signing for United.

“I’ll always be grateful to Dortmund for giving me the opportunity to play first-team football,” he said.

“I always knew that I would return to England.

“The chance to join Manchester United is a dream come true and I just cannot wait to perform in the Premier League.

“This is a young and exciting squad and I know, together, we can develop into something special to bring the success that the fans deserve.”

Sancho scored 50 goals and registered a further 57 assists in 137 games for the Bundesliga side, who he joined from City in 2017.
