Manchester United attempt to hijack Real Madrid’s move for Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek, according to Marca.
The 22-year-old is in high demand with many top clubs across Europe being linked with him, following his impressive performances with Ajax.
He was a major part of the Ajax team which famously knocked out Real Madrid from the Champions League and narrowly lost to Tottenham Hotspur in the competition’s semi finals in 2019.
Reports in Spain would suggest Real Madrid had all-but signed the talented central midfield player, having been linked with him for well over a year.
However, Marca have now stated that de Beek is considering other options and Premier League giants have put in an offer to try and sign the Holland international.
It would be a major coup for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer if he were to bring the Ajax player to Old Trafford, and could prove a major step in becoming title contenders again.
