Manchester United are reportedly to splash out £30m in a bid to try and lure Bosnia international Miralem Pjanic to Old Trafford this summer, according to La Repubblica (via the International Business Times).

The 13-time Premier League champions; who could only finish fifth in the English top-flight standings this term, but did lift the 2016 FA Cup trophy after defeating Crystal Palace in the final, have been heavily linked with a move for the AS Roma midfielder.

The 26-year-old, who has 69 international caps for his country, scored 12 goals and provided 13 assists in 41 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit last season.

Pjanic, who is also said to be attracting interest from La Liga giants FC Barcelona, could join the Red Devils in a deal worth around £30m.

The report suggests that new United boss Jose Mourinho has earmarked the Roma star as one of his top transfer targets ahead of his first campaign in charge of the club.
