Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer drops further hint that he will sign Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Haaland when speaking on SkySports.

Haaland becoming a United player come January, is looking ever more likely despite strong interest from other top clubs in Europe.

At only 19 years of age, the Norwegian striker is highly regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Europe and has been linked with moves across the continent.

Solskjaer seemed to drop a hint that Halaand will sign in January.

However, it seems likely that the Red Devils could beat all the competition in January, by signing the Salzburg star.

Fellow countryman and United boss Solskjaer travelled out to Salzburg late last week as first reported by Norwegian outlet VG, and is said to have met with Haaland and his family.

And following United’s 1-1 draw with Everton at Old Trafford on Sunday, the United manager dropped a further hint that Haaland will sign.

He said: “I don’t comment on speculation so that’s it. He knows what he wants to do and what he’s going to do.”
