Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has issued youngster Tahith Chong a warning regarding his contract, according to the Daily Star

Last night was one of contrasting feelings for Manchester United, with plenty of youngsters taking to the field in their Europa League clash against Astana.

There were some promising performances from the club’s potential future stars, despite losing 2-1, in a game where they probably deserved some sort of result.

Youngster Mason Greenwood is getting plenty of game time this season.

Chong started the game and missed a sitter shortly before Astana scored, but that did not take away from an assured performance in red.

However, after the game his boss Solskjaer had some harsh words about the youngster’s unwillingness to sign a contract.

The Norwegian said: “There are players we want to get signed up, of course, and Tahith is a player we think is going to develop. 

“We’ve offered him a very good contract – and the ball is in his court.”

It certainly seems there was a message from Solskjaer, United fans will be sure to follow this story as it progresses.
