Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer makes surprising prediction ahead of January transfer window, according to The Metro

The Red Devils have not made the greatest start to the league campaign by any means, currently sitting in 10th position in the Premier League table and seven points off top spot with a game in hand.

Many pundits, fans and experts believe United are still way off in terms of the depth of their squad and the quality of their play.

United Chief Executive Ed Woodward will be under pressure from United fans throughout the January window.

However, Solskjaer revealed he was happy with his current United crop and predicted very little activity in January.

He said: “It’s hard to predict what the financial situation is, if teams need to sell or if they have got money to buy.

“I don’t predict a lot of ins and outs, to be fair.

“The world, financially, and football world has changed as well, it depends the injury situations are at teams. I feel very happy with my squad, we’re getting stronger. I still have issues every week when we only have an 18-man squad: who do I leave out? I feel we’re in a good position.”

This is not the news many Manchester United fans will want to hear given the frustration of the summer window, missing out on Jadon Sancho and other key targets.
