Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing former Everton defender Shkodran Mustafi.
The 13-time Premier League champions, who dropped to third in the table after suffering a 3-0 defeat at Arsenal on Sunday, have joined Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in the hunt for the Valencia ace.
The 23-year-old, who left Goodison Park back in 2012 after just one first-team appearance for the Toffees, has already scored once in ten appearances for the La Liga side so far this season.
With eight international caps for Germany also added to his name since leaving the Premier League; Mustafi is fast becoming one of Europe’s most wanted defenders, with Bayern head coach Pep Guardiola keen on bringing him back to his homeland.
However; Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is also keen on securing Mustafi a return to the English top-flight, although the centre-half has a reported buy-out clause of £37m.
