Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward looks to hijack Barcelona’s move for Lautaro Martinez as Untied meet with player’s agents, according to the Express

Despite the heavy links with La Liga giants Barcelona, United are still keen to keep tabs on Inter Milan striker Martinez, with reports suggesting they met with representatives before lockdown.

Martinez is considered hot property across Europe, following a fantastic campaign in Milan where he has netted 16 goals in 31 appearances.

United Chief Executive Ed Woodward will be under pressure to bring players to the club.

At just 22-years-old, the Argentina international has many years of top football ahead of him and is a key target for Barcelona this summer.

However, it seems that United will be willing to fight for their man as they look to avoid the situation of starting the season with three strikers as they did back in August.
