Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward sets rule in negotiations for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, according to the Bleacher Report.

More and more reports are coming in every day that would suggest United are the frontrunners to land Sancho from Dortmund this summer.

However, an interesting article from Bleacher Report suggests that Woodward will not be willing to make the winger the club’s record signing.

United Chief Executive Ed Woodward does want to overpay for Sancho.

That accolade still sits with Paul Pogba who was resigned from Juventus for £89million back in 2016.

This strategy means the Red Devils will not be willing to pay more than this fee, with the Bleacher Report suggesting the club will be happy with a fee in the region of £86million.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, that fee could be enough for Dortmund who are said to be willing to sell the England international to raise some much-needed finds.
