Manchester United are reportedly closing in on a staggering £70m deal to sign Gabon superstar Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The 13-time Premier League champions, who currently sit fifth in the English top-flight standings with only three games remaining of the current 2015/16 campaign, have been continually linked with a speculative move for Borussia Dortmund’s star striker during previous transfer windows.
The 26-year-old, who has 49 international caps for his country, has scored a sensational 39 goals in 46 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit so far this season, including 12 assists.
Aubameyang, who is also said to be attracting interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid this summer, has been identified as the Red Devils’ number one transfer target following his remarkable campaign in Germany this term.
However the report suggests that United will have to cough up to £70m to secure the service of Aubameyang, who has found the back of the net 80 times in just 140 games for Dortmund since arriving at the club from Saint-Etienne back in 2013.
