Manchester United moved a step closer to securing a place in next season’s Champions League by beating Bournemouth 1-0 on Saturday.

The Red Devils now need just one point from their final two league games to ensure a place in the top four this season, and they will be hoping to guarantee their place by beating Chelsea on Thursday.

United boss Erik ten Hag is said to be keen on bolstering his squad this summer, and a number of names have been linked with a move to Old Trafford.

It has been widely reported that the Red Devils will look to sign a striker as a permanent replacement for loanee Wout Weghorst, who is set to return to parent club Burnley this summer.

Now, though, it appears that the Manchester outfit could actually be looking to sign two new strikers.

Kane is said to be United’s top target for the upcoming summer transfer window

According to 90min, United could look to sign two new forwards this summer in an effort to end their troubles in front of goal.

The Red Devils lost Cristiano Ronaldo in November last year and haven’t since signed a permanent replacement.

Weghorst, who joined on loan from Burnley in January, has failed to score in any of his 16 Premier League matches for the club so far and is expected to return to the Clarets at the end of the season.

The likes of Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen have been linked with a move to United, and the former is said to be the club’s number one target for the upcoming transfer window.

Kane’s current contract with Tottenham Hotspur is set to expire next summer, leaving Spurs chairman Daniel Levy with a difficult decision to make on the striker’s future.

This term United have scored just 52 league goals, fewer than any other side in the top half of the Premier League table.
