Leicester City are reportedly interested in signing Brazil youth international Andreas Pereira on a permanent deal this summer, according to The Sun.

The defending Premier League champions, who finished 10 points clear of eventual runners-up Arsenal in the English top-flight standings last term, have once again been linked with a move for the Manchester United attacking midfielder.

The 20-year-old, who has featured for Brazil’s Under-23 squad, scored one goal in just 11 first-team appearances for the Red Devils last season under former boss Louis van Gaal.

Pereira, who is set to represent his country at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics later this summer, was wanted by Foxes manager Claudio Ranieri back in January on an initial six-month loan deal.

However, reports now suggest that Leicester are looking to lure the Brazilian ace to the King Power Stadium on a permanent basis as they prepare for their first-ever campaign in the Champions League later this year.
