Manchester United defender a January target for Juventus

Manchester United will reportedly receive a bid for Italy international defender Matteo Darmian during the January transfer window, according to Tuttosport.

The Premier League giants, who have a 100 per cent record in the English top-flight so far this term after successive victories over AFC Bournemouth, Southampton and Hull City respectively, are expected to receive interest from Serie A champions Juventus in the full-back.

The 26-year-old, who has 26 international caps for his country and was part of the Italy squad that competed at Euro 2016 earlier this summer, has failed to feature under new Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho so far this season.

Darmian, who arrived at Old Trafford from Italian rivals Torino back in July 2015 following his reported £12.7m switch, scored one goal and provided one assist in 39 appearances in all competitions under former manager Louis van Gaal last term.

After being excluded from United’s Premier League matchday squads so far this campaign, Juve are reportedly set to step in and offer him a return to Serie A during the January window.
