Manchester United remain in contention to complete a treble of cup triumphs this season.

The Red Devils have already lifted the Carabao Cup courtesy of victory over Newcastle United at Wembley last month, but they also find themselves in the last four of the FA Cup and the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

United had been touted as outsiders for the Premier League title, but league leaders Arsenal have now extended their advantage over United to 19 points.

This summer promises to be one of significant change at Old Trafford, though, with the club’s ownership yet to be resolved.

A number of players have also been linked with moves away from Old Trafford, and it now appears that one of those is set to make a decision on his future at the end of the season.

According to The Mirror, defender Victor Lindelof will decide on his future this summer, with speculation continuing to link him with a departure from Manchester.

Lindelof has struggled for game time this season

The Sweden international has struggled for game time this term, with Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez seemingly Erik ten Hag’s first choice central defensive pairing.

The Dutchman has also opted to use left-back Luke Shaw as a makeshift centre-back ahead of Lindelof on occasion this season.

Lindelof, 28, has started just five Premier League games this term, and it remains to be seen whether the player will be a part of Ten Hag’s squad next season.

The Swedish defender joined United from Portuguese side Benfica back in 2017 and has since made more than 215 appearances for The Red Devils.

His current contract is set to expire next summer, though, and United may opt to cash in on the player this summer rather than losing him for free in 12 months.

The defender has made just 21 appearances across all competitions so far this season.
