Manchester United are reportedly set to make a summer swoop for Colombia international defender Jeison Murillo, according to Goal (via the Metro).

The 13-time Premier League champions, who currently sit sixth in the English top-flight standings, despite defeating arch rivals Manchester City 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium last weekend, have been linked with a move for the Inter Milan centre-half once the 2015-16 campaign has concluded.

The 23-year-old, who has 15 international caps for his country, has scored two goals and provided one assist in 28 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit so far this season.

Murillo; who only arrived at the San Siro from Spanish side Granada last February, has been watched several times already this term by Red Devils scouts as United start preparing their player recruitment process this summer, despite uncertainty over who will be the club’s manager – Louis van Gaal or ex-Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

The report suggests that Inter will demand at least £23.7m for the defender.
