Manchester United are reportedly interested in landing Germany international forward Julian Draxler before the close of the summer transfer window, according to the Mirror.

The Premier League side, who comfortably defeated Swansea City 4-0 at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday to preserve their 100 per cent start to the 2017-18 campaign, have been freshly linked with a move for the Paris Saint-Germain winger before August 31.

The 23-year-old, who has 35 international caps for his country, scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 25 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 giants last season.

Draxler, who arrived at the Parc des Princes back in January following his move from German outfit Wolfsburg, has been subject to speculation about his future, having not featured for PSG so far this term – although he did represent Germany at the Confederations Cup in Russia earlier this summer.

Following the world-record £200m arrival of Neymar from FC Barcelona earlier this summer, the report suggests Draxler will be allowed to leave the French capital for around £32m, with The Red Devils on high alert.

However, United manager Jose Mourinho may face stiff competition for the left winger’s signature in the form of Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool.

Manchester United have already spent an initial £146m this transfer window, luring defender Victor Lindelof (Benfica), striker Romelu Lukaku (Everton) and midfielder Nemanja Matic (Chelsea) to Old Trafford.
