Manchester United facing potential £61million disaster as Alexis Sanchez’s Inter Milan move hangs in the balance, according to the Mirror

The Red Devils handed Alexis Sanchez a huge contract back in January 2018 and now face the difficult task of offloading the Chilean.

Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan seem the most likely destination for the Chilean, with the club hoping to get the deal over the line before the Serie A kicks off this weekend.

Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has already signed Romelu Lukaku from United this summer.

However, the Mirror report that the Italian club are not willing to pay the full £400,000-a-week wage Sanchez currently pockets at Old Trafford.

The Mirror also suggested that  talks took place between the two clubs and Sanchez’s representative, Fernando Felicevich yesterday. With another option of a season long loan and a split in the wage payment.

That leaves Ed Woodward and the United board with a tough decision on their hands, as they ow have an asset which is decreasing in value, however they would not want to be in the same position ten months down the line if Inter decide not to make Sanchez a permeant signing for a cut price of £14million.
