Manchester United favourites to sign 21-year-old Fenerbahce starlet

Manchester United have reportedly emerged as favourites to land Turkey international starlet Ozan Tufan this summer, according to HITC Sport.

The 13-time Premier League champions; who lifted the 2016 FA Cup under former boss Louis van Gaal, but could only finish fifth in the English top-flight standings last term, are interested in luring the Fenerbahce midfielder to Old Trafford ahead of the upcoming 2016/17 campaign.

The 21-year-old, who has 27 international caps for his country and featured in all three of Turkey’s EURO 2016 fixtures this summer, scored one goal and provided three assists in 46 appearances in all competitions for the Super Lig outfit last season.

Tufan, who netted in Turkey’s 2-0 victory over the Czech Republic last week, is understood to be a transfer target for new Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho following his impressive European Championship displays – despite his country failing to advance out of the group stages.
