Manchester United attacker Alexis Sanchez looks set for a move to Italy, according to reports.

The 30-year-old has had a very disappointing time at Old Trafford since signing from Arsenal in January 2018, scoring just five times in 45 appearances.

Now the Mirror report that the Chile international is close to ending his nightmare spell with the Red Devils as four Serie A clubs chase his signature.

It’s claimed Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Napoli are all keen on the forward and hope to seal a deal before the Italian transfer window shuts on September 2.

Sanchez has struggled to find anywhere near his best form at Old Trafford.

United would like to sell their highest-earner on a permanent deal but it’s thought they are now willing to accept a loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

The South American superstar, who has recently returned to training after helping his country reach the Copa America semi-finals, would reportedly like to return to Italy where he starred for Udinese.

In his three years in Serie A, Sanchez scored 21 times in 112 matches before joining FC Barcelona in 2011 for £30million.
