Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson has agreed a new loan deal at Sheffield United, according to the Mirror

Henderson has spent the last two seasons on loan at the Blades, his first helping his side win promotion back to the Premier League and this season go beyond all expectations in the Premier League.

Like nearly all loan players, and other players out of contract, Henderson’s current loan deal was expected to expire at the end of June.

De Gea has come under fire for mistakes this season.

This has caused major panic for many clubs and players with the season being extended due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The two teams were very close in the table when lockdown began, both with a very realistic chance of a Champions League spot. However, due to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side beating Sheffield United 3-o at Old Trafford last week, the gap now stands at five points.

Tis has prompted the Manchester giants to agree the extension of Henderson until the end of the season.

A Sheffield United statement read:  “Goalkeeper Dean Henderson will remain at Bramall Lane until the end of the season, after a deal was struck with Manchester United following prolonged discussions between the respective parties in recent weeks.”
