Manchester United have been offered way out with flop forward Alexis Sanchez keen on a move back to Chile, according to the Daily Mail.

Unfortunately for the Red Devils, as things stand, Alexis Sanchez moving from Arsenal to Man United will have to go down as one of the worst transfers in Premier League history.

Receiving a reported £505,000-a-week wage, Sanchez has managed just five goals in 45 appearances for United and looked woefully short of form throughout that period.

Sanchez joined the club when Jose Mourinho was in the hot seat.

The Chile international’s continued poor displays prompted manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to loan the player out to Inter Milan last summer.

Once again Sanchez struggled for form, scoring just one goal in Milan, and struggled with an ankle injury which kept him out of action for three months.

However, United fans will be excited to hear that Sanchez could be favouring a return to Chile to see out his playing days with Universidad de Chile.

This would enable United to heavily reduce their wage bill and focus on bringing in other talents to the football club.
