Manchester United are reportedly lining up a move for Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak.
With fears surrounding Old Trafford that David de Gea is poised to join La Liga giants Real Madrid this summer after being left out of United’s opening Premier League game against Tottenham today, the club are seeking a replacement.
Oblak, who has four international caps for Slovenia, made 11 clean sheets in 21 appearances in all competitions for Diego Simeone’s side last season.
Local reports in Spain suggest manager Louis van Gaal has tabled a bid in the region of £25m for the 22-year-old, who is seemingly behind fellow shot stopper Miguel Angel Moya at the Vicente Calderon Stadium.
The Red Devils signed Spanish international De Gea from Atletico Madrid for £17.8m back in 2011.
