Manchester United fans will see this summer’s transfer window as a successful one following the arrival of Raphael Varane and Jadon Sancho.

However, it’s now thought that the Red Devils are in the hunt to pull of a move which would eclipse the arrival of both the French and English stars.

It’s reported that United are in talks over a sensational move to bring back Cristiano Ronaldo to Old Trafford, according to Sky Sports.

The 36-year-old spent six successful years at Old Trafford between 2003-2009 before moving on to Real Madrid.

Now it’s claimed that the Portuguese superstar, who’s told Juventus of his intention to leave the Serie A side this summer, has been offered to United by his agent Jorge Mendes.

It was previously reported that Mendes had offered Ronaldo to rivals Man City, in what would’ve been one of the most controversial transfers of all time.

But with City now thought not to be in the race, it could be likely that the forward will wear the red of United once again.

Ronaldo scored 118 times and won eight major honours, including three Premier League titles and the Champions League, in his first spell at Old Trafford.
