Manchester United are reportedly in the race to sign Spain international defender Héctor Bellerín, according to Sport.

The Premier League side, who visit Brighton and Hove Albion on Friday night at the Amex Stadium (20:00), have been linked with a summer move for the Arsenal full-back.

The 23-year-old, who has three international caps for his country, has scored three goals and provided three assists in 44 appearances in all competitions for The Gunners so far this season.

Bellerín, who joined Arsenal back in the summer of 2011 following his move from FC Barcelona’s youth academy, has gone on to net seven goals in 159 games overall for Arsene Wenger’s side.

However, the right-back is expected to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer, along with legendary manager Wenger, with United in the running to lure the Spaniard to Old Trafford ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

Though, The Red Devils may face stiff competition for the defender’s signature, with Premier League rivals Chelsea, and former club Barcelona, also after the player’s services ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

Bellerín would cost around €40m, which is just over £35m.
