Manchester United have joined the race to sign Bosnia international star Miralem Pjanic, according to Mundo Deportivo (via the Metro).

The 13-time Premier League champions, who finished fifth in the English top-flight standings this term, despite eventually winning the 2016 FA Cup final against Crystal Palace last month at Wembley Stadium, are interested in landing the AS Roma midfielder this summer.

The 26-year-old, who has 69 international caps for his country, scored 12 goals and provided 13 assists in 41 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit this season.

Pjanic; who is also said to be attracting interest from Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool, plus European giants FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, has emerged as a transfer target for new Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho following the club’s dismissal of Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford.

The reports suggest that the Bosnian ace could cost in the region of £29.1m.
