Manchester United have reportedly entered the race to sign Nigeria captain Ahmed Musa before the close of the January transfer window, according to the Express.

The 13-time Premier League champions, who face Derby County in the FA Cup on Friday night, are interested in signing the CSKA Moscow striker alongside league leaders Leicester City before Monday night’s deadline.

The 23-year-old, who 54 international caps for his country, has scored 10 goals in 29 appearances in all competitions for the Russia top-flight outfit this season.

Musa, who was the subject of a rejected opening £15.1m bid from the Foxes earlier this week, is valued at around £18.9m by CSKA this month.
