Manchester United face a transfer battle with Paris Saint-Germain over Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to reports.

The 25-year-old has been a key player for the Italian side this season, helping them top Serie A as they look to win their first title since 2000.

Scoring five times in 30 appearances, the Serbia international’s performances have attracted attention from overseas.

And, according to Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport via Football Italia, Manchester United and PSG are very much interested in signing Milinkovic-Savic.

It’s claimed that the French giants are plotting an £87million bid in order to try and land the midfielder ahead of the Red Devils.

United are wary that Paul Pogba could leave Old Trafford this summer and it’s claimed that the Lazio man is being eyed as a potential replacement.

Pogba, who has struggled with injuries this term, could leave Old Trafford in the summer.

However, it’s thought that Chelsea, Real Madrid and Juventus have also been keeping a close eye on the 15-time international

Milinkovic-Savic signed for Lazio in 2015 from Genk and his contract runs until the summer of 2024.
