Manchester United are reportedly looking to sign Spain international midfielder Isco, according to Don Balon.

The Premier League side, who suffered a surprise 1-0 defeat to strugglers Newcastle United on Sunday, have been linked with luring the Real Madrid star to Old Trafford this summer.

The 25-year-old, who has 24 international caps for his country, has scored seven goals and provided six assists in 32 appearances in all competitions for the defending La Liga champions so far this season.

Isco, who arrived at the Bernabeu back in June 2013 following his move from Malaga, has netted 40 goals in 223 games overall for Zinedine Zidane’s side.

The report claims Reds Devils manager Jose Mourinho is keen to bring the Spaniard to The Theatre of Dreams this summer, after watching his United side fall a huge 16 points behind arch rivals and Premier League leaders Manchester City at the weekend.

Isco is contracted at Madrid until June 2022, and is valued at around £67.50m, by transfermarkt.
