Manchester United are reportedly already working on a sensational £75m double deal to sign Raphael Varane and Joao Mario this summer, according to the Daily Star.

The 13-time Premier League champions, who face AFC Bournemouth on the final day of the season (Sunday), needing a win to stand any chance of beating rivals Manchester City to fourth spot and consequent Champions League qualification, have been heavily linked with moves for the Real Madrid defender and Sporting Lisbon winger once the current 2015/16 campaign concludes.

Varane; 23, who has 28 international caps for his country and is set to star for France at Euro 2016 later this year, has featured 33 times in all competitions for the La Liga giants so far this season.

Meanwhile Mario; 23, who has eight international caps for Portugal, has scored seven goals and provided 12 assists in 44 games for the Liga NOS outfit this term.

The report suggests that United are hopeful of thrashing out a £30m deal for Madrid centre-half Varane, although Sporting forward Mario could set the Red Devils back a further £45m.
