Manchester United will renew their interest in Argentina international forward Nicolas Gaitan this summer, according to Record.

The 13-time Premier League champions, who were pinned back to a 1-1 draw away to Chelsea on Sunday following Diego Costa’s 91st minute equaliser, have been linked with a move for the Benfica winger in numerous previous transfer windows.

The 27-year-old, who has 12 international caps for his country, has scored seven goals in 23 appearances in all competitions for the Portuguese giants so far this season.

The report suggests that Gaitan has a £35m buy-out clause, although the Red Devils could have stiff competition to win the Argentine’s signature at the end of the 2015-16 campaign in the form of fellow potential suitors Atletico Madrid (Spain), Zenit St Petersburg (Russia) and AS Monaco (France).

Gaitan, who began his career at Boca Juniors, has scored 37 goals in 238 first-team games for the Liga NOS outfit since arriving from Argentina back in May 2010.
