Manchester United are reportedly scouting Italy international forward Andrea Belotti ahead of the forthcoming January transfer window, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via calciomercato).

The Premier League side, who currently sit sixth in the English top-flight standings after their most recent 3-1 victory at the Liberty Stadium over Swansea City, are thought to be ready to make a move for the Torino centre forward.

The 22-year-old, who has netted three times in just five international caps for the Azzurri, has impressively scored eight goals and provided four assists in 11 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit so far this season.

Belotti, who began his career at AlbinoLeffe, has alerted Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho to his goalscoring exploits after a sensational start to the 2016/17 campaign.

The forward, who scored twice for Italy against Liechenstein last weekend, is contracted with Torino until 2020.

However the report suggests Belotti, who cost the Italian side £7m from Palermo back in July 2015, could cost United around €50m if they want to lure him to Old Trafford.
