Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand urges Paul Pogba to speak out after not being named in squad to face Arsenal, when speaking on BT Sport.

The Frenchman has suffered with injuries for large parts of this campaign, but it now seems there could be more to the story, having again been left out the squad to face Arsenal this evening.

Pogba made two substitute appearances in December for United, but has not been in a playing squad since, sparking man rumours about his immediate future.

These rumours have been fuelled even more so by the midfielder’s ‘super agent Mino Raiola, who has had some choice words about his dealings with Manchester United in the last couple of days.

Rio Ferdinand had some strong words to say before kick-off tonight, urging the player to speak freely himself.

Rio Ferdinand did not hold back during his pundit work.

“Injuries have played their part but it is frustrating because he is a talented player,” he said on BT Sport.

“I think he is injured and Ole is reacting to what is going on around him.

Adding: “I would tell him to speak out, your voice will be heard the loudest. Shut your agent down, you speak and add some clarity to the situation.

“That way your teammates, your manager and the fans know where you are out.”
