Manchester United line up shock summer move for ex Chelsea midfielder Jeremie Boga, according to ESPN.

ESPN report that Borussia Dortmund ace Jadon Sancho remains United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s number one target this summer.

However, chief executive Ed Woodward is unlikely to stump up the cash for a potential transfer in excess of £100million, forcing Solskjaer and his team to review other options.

Solskjaer will be desperate to build on his side’s good form with productive signings this summer.

One of which will come as a surprise to most United fans, in the way of Boga who left his boyhood club Chelsea for Italian side Sassuolo back in 2018.

The Ivory Coast international only managed one Premier League appearance with the West London club and had a string of loans before moving to Italy permanently.

However, the midfielder is still only 23-years-old and is performing well in Europe. Scoring 11 goals in 54 Serie A matches and continuing to improve.

ESPN have reported that United have contacted Boga’s representatives and the youngster is interested in a potential switch to Old Trafford.
