Manchester United Ole Gunnar Solskjaer set to perform U-turn with Nemanja Matic as the midfielder is set to stay at the club in January, according to Evening Standard

The Serbian midfielder, has been given very few chances to play this season, making just five Premier League appearances, however he has started the last two games.

Returning to the side, is mainly due to the lack of central midfielders available to Solskjaer, with Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba set for weeks on the sideline.

Matic has seen most of his football in the Europa League this term.

It has been heavily reported in the last few months that Matic would be heading through the Old Trafford exit door in January, but according to the Evening Standard, that decision could be reversed.

Manchester United fans are desperate for the club to sign one or two midfielders, as it’s clear for all to see that it’s an area the Red Devils desperately need to invest in.
