Name: Felipe Anderson

Position: Winger

Club: Lazio

With manager Louis van Gaal under pressure at Old Trafford to keep the Manchester United fans happy and the club’s board off his back for the remainder of the campaign, the Netherlands boss is hoping a marquee January signing will do the trick.

One star player the Red Devils have been heavily linked with this month is Brazil forward Felipe Anderson.

The 22-year-old, who made his international debut against Mexico back in June, has scored four and assisted two goals in 17 league appearances for the Serie A outfit so far this season.

Anderson; who cost Lazio just €7.8m back in June 2013 from Santos, has been a long-term transfer target of Van Gaal’s since he arrived at Old Trafford back in the summer of 2014, although United are destined to finally confirm their interest with a solid bid in the region of £36m for the exciting winger in January.

After scoring 11 goals from out wide last term; Anderson’s attacking flair, goalscoring exploits and bright potential could go some way in resolving the club’s scruitny of failing to play stylish attacking football and help push United into a late title bid.
