Manchester United are reportedly ready to offload France international Morgan Schneiderlin this summer – less than 12 months after signing the midfielder, according to The Sun.

The 13-time Premier League champions, who currently sit sixth in the English top-flight standings, despite defeating arch rivals Manchester City 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium last weekend, have been underwhelmed with the central defensive midfielder’s performances since arriving at Old Trafford back in July 2015.

The 26-year-old, who has 15 international caps for his country and could feature for France at Euro 2016 later this year in his homeland, has scored one goal and provided one assist in 32 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils so far this season.

Schneiderlin, who cost United a reported £24m from Southampton last year, faces the axe this summer with uncertainty over manager Louis van Gaal’s future too, with ex-Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho tipped to succeed the Dutchman at the helm.

The report also suggests that defenders Phil Jones and Marcus Rojo face uncertain futures at Old Trafford beyond the current campaign.
