Manchester United are reportedly ready to launch a shock summer swoop for France international midfielder N’Golo Kante, according to the Daily Star Sunday.

The 13-time Premier League champions, who face league leaders and Kante’s club Leicester City at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, have been closely monitoring the Foxes’ star throughout the 2015/16 campaign ahead of the forthcoming transfer window.

The 25-year-old, who has earned his first two international caps for his country this term and is set to star for France at Euro 2016 later this year, has scored one goal and provided four assists in 37 appearances in all competitions for Claudio Ranieri’s table toppers so far this season.

Kante, who only arrived at the King Power Stadium last summer following a reported £5.6m switch from French outfit Caen, could lift the 2015/16 Premier League title inside Old Trafford this afternoon if Leicester defeat United.

Despite also being linked with moves to Arsenal and arch-rivals Manchester City, the report suggests that the Red Devils are ready to bid £30m in their attempts to land Kante following his sensational season with the Foxes.
