Manchester United are keen to sign AFC Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson in January, according to reports.

The 27-year-old has scored five goals in seven Premier League matches this season and was named in the England squad for October’s European Championship qualifiers against Czech Republic and Bulgaria.

Now, according to Sky Sports, Wilson’s exploits in front of goal have caught the attention of the Red Devils who are lacking firepower.

United have struggled for goals since an opening day 4-0 win over Chelsea, scoring just five in six Premier League matches since then.

Solskjaer’s Manchester United are struggling for goals.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has just Marcus Rashford, the currently injured Anthony Martial and 17-year-old Mason Greenwood to choose from.

So it’s claimed the Norwegian boss is weighing up a swoop for the Cherries star, who has three years left on his contract at the Vitality Stadium.

Meanwhile, it’s also thought that the Old Trafford club are keeping tabs on experienced Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic.

United were linked with a move for the Croatian in the summer but after being left out of the Italian’s Champions League squad and Serie A side so far this term he may reconsider his future come the new year.
