Manchester United secured their place in round four of the FA Cup by beating Everton 3-1 at Old Trafford on Friday.

The Red Devils progressed thanks to a 3-1 win, with both Antony and Marcus Rashford on the scoresheet for Erik ten Hag’s side.

United will have to wait until the draw on Sunday to find out who they will face in the next round, but in the meantime the club are said to be working on new deals for two of their stars.

According to Fabrizio Romano, United are prioritising new contracts for both Rashford and Diogo Dalot.

The Italian journalist claims that talks have already taken place with the representatives of both players, with a view to agreeing deals as soon as possible.

Rashford continued his remarkable goal scoring run on Friday when he netted a late penalty against The Toffees.

The England international has now scored seven goals in his last seven home matches, as well as netting in each of his last four games across all competitions.

Rashford’s goal against Everton on Friday took his tally for United to 106

The 25-year-old has already made more than 325 appearances for his boyhood club, but his current contract is due to expire in 2024, meaning he has just 18 months remaining.

United are therefore desperate to agree a long-term extension with the forward, and it is a similar story for Dalot.

The Portuguese has found himself as United’s first choice first-back in recent months, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka having been dropped down the pecking order.

Dalot, 23, is also set to be out of contract in the summer of 2024, and United are working to reach an agreement and ensure that he stays put.

The defender arrived in Manchester from Porto in 2018, and spent the 2020/21 campaign on loan at Serie A side AC Milan having failed to make an impressive at Old Trafford.

He has since established himself as a regular at the club though, making 22 appearances across all competitions already this season.
