Manchester United have officially unveiled the re-signing of France international star Paul Pogba.

The Premier League outfit, who defeated defending English top-flight champions Leicester City to claim their 21st Community Shield inside Wembley Stadium on Sunday, have been linked with luring the Juventus midfielder back to Old Trafford for the entire summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old, who has 38 international caps for his country and starred for France as they reached the final of Euro 2016 last month, scored 10 goals and provided 16 assists in 49 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A champions last season.

Pogba, who originally left Old Trafford back in 2012 for Turin in a deal worth around £1.5m, sealed his world-record £89m switch back to the Red Devils in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

The attacking midfielder, who has put pen to paper on a five-year contract at United, told the club’s official website, “I am delighted to rejoin United.

“It has always been a club with a special place in my heart and I am really looking forward to working with José Mourinho.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Juventus and have some fantastic memories of a great club with players that I count as friends.

“But I feel the time is right to go back to Old Trafford. I always enjoyed playing in front of the fans and can’t wait to make my contribution to the team.

“This is the right club for me to achieve everything I hope to in the game.”

Pogba’s whopping world-record £89m transfer fee surpasses the £85m that Real Madrid paid Tottenham for Wales forward Gareth Bale back in 2013.

He becomes Mourinho’s fourth signing at Old Trafford, following the fellow arrivals of Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan this summer.
