Manchester United will face a trip to face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane when Premier League football returns after the international break.

The Red Devils have endured a difficult season so far, winning just four of their eight Premier League matches, and currently sit tenth in the top flight table.

As well as losing four times in the league already this term, Erik ten Hag’s side have also suffered two defeats from as many games in the Champions League group stages so far, leaving United in a precarious position in Europe.

The Dutchman has had to deal with a number of difficult situations off the pitch too, including a public fall out with winger Jadon Sancho.

Now, it appears that United are prepared to accept an offer for the attacker in January, according to Football Insider.

The report claims that the Manchester club are open to the idea of allowing Sancho to leave when the transfer window opens in the new year, with a loan exit the most likely solution.

Sancho could leave Manchester United in January

Sancho, 23, hasn’t played for United since August after a public spat with manager Ten Hag.

The winger was left out of the squad to face Arsenal back in August and, after Ten Hag criticised his attitude in training, Sancho took to social media to hit back at the former Ajax boss.

Sancho joined United from Borussia Dortmund two years ago, having registered an impressive 114 combined goals and assists in 137 matches for the German side across all competitions.

He has failed to recreate that form in Manchester, though, making just 82 appearances for the club so far.

Ten Hag has reportedly ousted the winger from the first team setup at Old Trafford, demanding that the player apologises before being allowed back into the senior side.
