Manchester United are reportedly ready to hijack Chelsea’s potential summer swoop for Bosnia international Miralem Pjanic, according to the Express.

The 13-time Premier League champions, who are still in the race for Champions League football next term as they face AFC Bournemouth at Old Trafford on the final day of the season (Sunday), have entered the running to sign the AS Roma star midfielder once the current 2015/16 campaign has come to a close.

The 26-year-old; who has 67 international caps for his country, although Bosnia missed out on qualification for Euro 2016 after losing to the Republic of Ireland in the play-offs last year, has scored 12 goals and provided 12 further assists in 40 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit this season.

Pjanic, who reportedly has a minimum fee release clause of £30m, is an admirer of former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who is set to land the Manchester United managerial job this summer.
