Manchester United travel to Spain to face Real Betis in the second leg of their Europa League last 16 tie on Thursday.

The Red Devils boast a strong advantage going into the match, courtesy of a 4-1 first leg win at Old Trafford last week.

Manager Erik ten Hag may use the game as an opportunity to rotate his squad, with plenty of players pushing for more game time.

The likes of Anthony Elenga, Jadon Sancho and Facundo Pellistri will all be looking to start the match, while Ten Hag may opt to give Marcus Rashford a rest.

Pellistri, 21, has made just six appearances for United so far this season and it appears that he may now be sent out on loan.

According to The Manchester Evening News, the club are considering sending the Uruguayan out on loan this summer.

The youngster is yet to start a match for United, and his employers have now decided to send him out on loan in a bid to ensure he players more regularly.

The winger joined United from Penarol back in 2020, but didn’t make his debut for the club until January this year.

Pellistri could be sent out on loan this summer

Despite having not played for United in two years, Pellistri was included in the Uruguay squad for the World Cup in Qatar last year, making three appearances at the tournament.

In January 2021, Pellistri was sent on loan to Spanish side Alaves, and the forward returned to the La Liga side for a second spell in August of the same year.

During his time in Spain, the player made 35 appearances but failed to register a single goal or assist.

Despite that, he did provide an assist within minutes of being substituted on for his United debut against Charlton Athletic earlier this year.

The report also claims that Elanga, 20, is likely to be sent out on loan this summer.

The Swede has started just seven games across all competitions so far this season, and could therefore be sent out when the transfer window opens this summer.
